The current educational law, LOMLOE, highlights the importance of addressing the content of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines in an integrated way. One of the eight key competences established by the law corresponds to this holistic way of acquiring basic knowledge. The European Union, through various official documents, also suggests working on these four disciplines in relation to the Arts (STEAM). Addressing the integration of the content of the five disciplines will help to train competent students to face the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s society. This training course seeks to prepare teachers in the design of STEAM projects, thus allowing them to meet some LOMLOE objectives. Specifically, in this course teachers will learn to generate learning situations that enable students to build knowledge and apply it in significant contexts. The training will be given by members of the Open STEAM Group.
