The first Greek training course took place at the 2nd Model Junior High-school (MJHS) of Athens on January 28th and 29th, 2022. About 30 teachers were attending the course that aimed:

  1. To introduce to the trainees the STEAMTeach approach to STEAM education.
  2. To give ideas to the participants/trainees on the design of tasks that integrate STEAM in line with the STEAMTeach framework.
  3. To provide opportunities to the trainees for hands-on activities
  4. To design their own task adopting the STEAMTeach framework.

The training course was divided into three parts:

  1. Two plenary lectures about a) the characteristics of training for the teachers that exploits the combination of STEAM approaches and the use of digital media in the classroom and b) examples of tasks that realize this idea.
  2. A workshop where best practices within the STEAMTeach framework were presented. Participants acted as students and they worked on the tasks.
  3. A workshop where participants presented their own ideas on designing task following the STEAMTeach framework.
